From The Smoking Gum:

Girls and Corpses Banned... from Criminals?!

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections has blocked the delivery of the premiere Issue of Girls and Corpses Magazine from an inmate who ordered the magazine. This is the second time that Wisconsin has "stiffed" our corpses.

First, Hi-Lighter Graphics, in Wisconsin, declined to print our magazine siting "sexual content," even though there is no nudity or sexual situations in Girls and Corpses Magazine. Then, we found out the reason... Hi-Liter Graphics also prints for the "Church."

Now, the latest snub from Wisconsin, from the Department of Corrections, of all places! They refused delivery to a prisoner because of, "Depiction of sexual acts and bondage." Huh? Where are these sexual acts in the magazine? Yes, there is one shot of Hollie Stevens hanging in a bondage getup. But she's covered up and there is no one in the shot with her -- and she's pleasantly smiling.

The Notice of Non-Delivery Of Mail/Publicatin, from a "Captain Cummings" (ahem) states that the magazine "advocates behavior that violates the laws of Wisconsin." Since when is dying a violation of the law?

What's up Wisconsin?! Get it together people! We are a comedy magazine! There is this little thing called Freedom of Speech -- which apparently does not apply in Wisconsin.

We'd like to hear your comments on this, especially if you are from Wisconsin. Email to: info@girlsandcorpses.com.

And remember... the cheese stinks from the head.

RIP,

Corpsy
