My Top Ten Corpses

Corpsy: Vidal, you’ve sliced open a mountain of corpses as a County Coroner of Los Angeles, a CSI investigator and then opened your own successful business at 1-800-AUTOPSY. Tell us about some of your more infamous corpses and serial killer’s victims for whom you performed the autopsies.

VH: I first worked as a volunteer for two and half years to learn to do autopsies from Dr. Thomas Noguchi, who was Chief Medical Examiner-Coroner for the County of Los Angeles. He had performed the autopsies of Marilyn Monroe, Robert Kennedy, Sharon Tate, Janis Joplin and many other celebrities. I personally worked on the Skid Row Slasher case. He killed about 11 people. The Freeway Killer killed about 17. The Hillside Strangler killed 8. And of course the last one was the Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez—he killed 14. Also, the Symbionese Liberation Army deaths. So I had the opportunity to see a lot of infamous corpses .
