G&C: Kris, we are blown away by your stunning, intricate, labor-intensive skull sculptures and paintings dripping with decay, symbolism, metaphor and madness. Your artwork reminds me of Chinese ivory carvings meets Terry Gilliam’s Brazil meets Gulliver’s Travels meets Timothy Leary. Do you have to become a meth addict to become so focused on the minute details for your insanely detailed artwork? Do you ever sleep? Or do they keep the lights on all night in your padded call?

KK: Time flies when I do these sculptures and hours and hours are spent gluing all the tiny minute things together. It is spiritual more than anything, but I do manage to work out my inner demons. I never got into meth or other drugs so I failed in being an addict. Art is my drug and my padded cell has track lighting…
